You have a date and that too in just about half an hour? Have a party but have no time to wash off the oiliness of your hair? You just had a bath yester night but still your hair has become oily overnight? So how will you go out in the morning to the amazing get-together with lifeless volume-less hair?

Here’s what can do to save you from a bad hair day and get a bouncy voluminous hair and leave a lasting impression on others!

Read below to find techniques on how to increase volume of hair:

A.Talcum Powder Technique:

If You Hair Is Dry, and you don’t want to wet it with shampooing..Do this, probably most people know about this technique, use talcum powder, just a little bit and pat on your palms, then run your fingers across your hairs in a messy manner, and your oiliness will vanish and you’ll end up with a perfect matte finished hair.

B. Styling to Bounce :

What you need:

    1. Some holding clips
    2. One big barrel curling iron
    3. Strong hold hairspray
    4. Water Spray
    5. Styling comb
    6. A rubber band

1. For More than Shoulder length i.e medium to long hair the following process:

First make two sections of your hair from top, not side ways.
The section to the back of the head, tie it into a pony tail.
The section in front , first comb it and hold it straight in your hand , then spray some strong hold hair spray and put the curling barrel in and curl it back ways, remove the curler slowly , holding the curled bunch and immediately clip it with a holding clip, so that it doesn’t slide down.

Next do the pony tail in the same fashion, make two sections of it or three if your hair is thick and taking one by one the sections , comb, spray , curl and clip . After all the hard work when the curls are standing on your head one by one arranged vertically clipped, then cool it off with a cooling blow dryer or if you don’t have a cooling button in your blow dryer then just wait for 10 minutes to let the spray set in and the hair to cool down.

Now remove the clips and flip your head upside down , mess up and spread the hair a little with your fingers and shake your head a little , put some more strong hold hair spray and come back to normal position, don’t comb anymore, just enjoy your amazing more volume bouncy curls .

2. Short to shoulder length hair:

Spray some water with a sprayer , don’t have to take a total bath for just wetting your hair, now clip a section of your hair from the top of your head first with hair clippers. Now hold the blow dryer downwards vertically towards the comb and comb in with a fine comb the hairs left on all sides that are not clipped to the top. While you go down your hair sections combing and blowing them, end the combing process towards the ends in an inward curl. Repeat the process for each small section for 4 times. And then after you’re done here, now leave the top clipped section and repeat the blow drying process to them also. Else you may unclip the upper section and immediately flip the hair in front of your face, and start combing them outwards with your comb and blow drying them at the same time. Now set them backwards, spray some strong hold hair spray to maintain the volume for a longer time and you’ll see how your hair volume has increased instantly.

3. Some more useful tips:

If you don’t really even have time for doing styling, just put your head upside down and blow dry it to add volume. To stick it in the same position, spray some strong hold hair spray.

You may also glue in some hair extensions if your want to for instant increase in volume.

You may also go in for some Volumizing Mousse or serum and using them on your hair.
Curls look give more volume illusion to flat thin hair, so you may do an over night curl or even an instant curl with your curling iron and strong hold hairspray.

If you have enough time you can do a shampoo to get rid of oiliness, and the best is using a clarifying shampoo and a clarifying conditioned and then blow dry hair to volume and bounce.

It’s important to shampoo off your powder and styling sprays and gels or mousse after your come back home.

ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Sophia and welcome to my blog.

I have always been obsessed with hair. I have wavy, frizzy hair and I've been straigtening it since I was 12. I have changed my hair at least a hundred times over the years, trying new colors and tones, and falling victim of that 'new trendy haircut'. But after all, I realised it doesn't matter how you hair is, as long as it is HEALTHY.

I created this blog to share everything that I have learned about how to care for your hair and to help others who need a hand finding the best tips and products.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you find something to help you along the way.
